The darkness of the blooms and in parts fuzziness, to me anyhow, make me feel a slightly threatening feeling that all is not right with the world, and normally I associate spring with more colour, light, and happiness. Best wishes.

Though there were some interesting areas in this photograph that I would have liked to see more clearly, the foreground seemed to mute the image for the most part.
Keep trying though. I really liked the translucent effects of the petals. I think in that you are on the right track.

Royal blues, purple and violets are such a rich hue to work with. I think the best element of this piece is how you captured the sunlight, lighting up the petals of these flowers. The intricate of the green stems and foliage is a nice contrast against the lit, light-blue sky. The only thing that draws from the piece is its cluttered and blurred feeling. There seems to be too much, too close, preventing the eye from fully indulging in the beauty of this particular beauty. Great shot.

This looks like it could be a very nice looking shot, but the shadows hide too much of the picture. A more direct light would be better.

I think you could have framed it better...the color is darker than i could be...try to(next time) get the pic framed so that it brings in more light...and i would have taken the pic from a different angle, not sure what your restrictions were...Aggie
