Very nice combination of sketching and computer work.
Your cloudy background and textured ground work compliment the animal well.

I'm sure that you have received a great number of excellent reviews of this work which makes it difficult to review as a reviewer seeing this late in the game. It is of course excellent and especially since you used Twisted brush as having used it years ago, I got frustrated and stayed with Photoshop. What I see in this particular composition (subjective opinion only) is that the picture does not distinguish the dark's and light's, meaning that the sky blends into the Tiger. If it where in Photoshop, I would select that area and using levels, add a midlevel darken to it so that it did not detract from the Tiger. One thing is very obvious and that is that you have a very creative eye and have, knowingly or not, positioned the Tiger in a "golden triangle." The only other help I would possibly suggest (being a retired architect and a sticker for detail) is work in small sections at 200 or 300 percent so that the hair around the face becomes more like hair than a smug. I only say that because I'm looking at it from a buyers point of view on a 24 inch monitor so I see more than I would on my laptop screen. Having said all that, believe me I do think this is an excellent composition.

thank you so much pachek for such a detailed review and it is very much appreicated. When I do this type of detailed work I zoom it in and work on it section by section as you said, I didn't think that the hair looked like smug but then after zooming it back to normal viewing my monitor doesn't have a high resolution to it so I am so glad that you brought that to my attention. I have just sent this peice off to have it enlarged to a 16 x 24 canvas print but I haven't had the opportunity to see it as of yet. since this is something that i truly love to do investing in a higher quality monitor is no doubt a good investment at this stage of my art. You have truly been a huge help here because you are seeing something in my work that I am unable to see . I can't thank you enough. any time you review any of my work I appreciate your honesty with what you are viewing through a higher quality monitor, if I ever wish to sell any of my work it has to be of good quality so it is deeply appreciated
    thank you again

You are more than welcome and believe it or not, Walmart has excellent monitors on sale and the LCDs are all under 100. The LEDs run 100 and up. Just thought you'd like to know.

Very nice. I've never used Twisted brush, but after seeing this I may want to give it a try. Your colors are wonderful, and if you did this from scratch you have some mad drawing skills!

your complment is very much apreciated, and yes I did this from scratch but as far as my drawing skills I do a quick sketch then use a photograph as a reference point using it in a thumbnail. I then use section but section to try to get the detail, it really is the brushes I use in twisted brush and not my draiwng ability, at least that's what i see. My sketches are very cartoonish, and there is no way I'd ever post one LOL but I do truly thank yu for your complment. I am however attempting to get better at sketches, I would love to be able to do traditional art, but that's not where my abilty lies so far it seems but I'm getting better at that also little by little
thank you agian for such a wonderful compliment

LOL thank you for your review of my work noi11. when I looked at a few photgrographs of tigers in a laying postion it seemed to me that they didn't match up, just like the eyes, one seemed bigger than the other, but with my painting I think I made the leg too heavy and no dobut that's why it appears short, at least thats what I thought when I was finished, but then maybe it is too short but I'm not about to get that clse to any tiger to measure and find out LOL
your review is deeply appreciated and means alot thank you again

Love the yellow and white wall behind this tiger. The floor with the shades of brown, white and amber really make the cat pop off the picture. The pose is sincere and warm. The softness to the fur is also appealing. NICE

thank you Kenneth, I wasn't sure about the bakcground I was going to go with a black background but it just seemed softer with the yellow, I'm so glad that i made the right choice

Indeed, the black would go with a stronger facial expression. I really love this piece.
