as you know lynnkah i have done cheetah, leopard & tiger now with my pens & i think the tiger stripes were the worst to do of the lot, you end up seing stripes on blank paper in the end.
that said you have done a lovely composition here with good depth & colouring using a good technique to create this relaxing scene with good detailing & posturing of the tiger, nice job

someone gve me the idea of doing a leopard, so thats my next cat attempt, MAYBE... but after that i'll have to have my eyes uncrossed LOL

I have not read your artist's notes because I want to see what I see and not be influenced.
Here is a well proportioned nicely drawn soft rendition of a Bengal tiger. Your colour contrasts are very nice and the shading is also realistically done to compliment the over all painting. You have what is called "colour sensibility" as there is a nice balancing feel. The tonality is good, the image is clear and realistic. He is lying on a carpet and I cannot help but think that this is a pet Bengal tiger of some rich Raja. His face appears youthful and almost "domesticated cat" like appearance. He is quiet and it matches with your title and your artistic perception. The usage of yellow and orange colour bytes again are professionally applied to create balance and yet there is contrast.
You have composed him well within the frame and my eyes stay focused on him as there are no detracting elements. The perspective is excellent and shows off your technical skill. You are not a beginner.
You have used fine delicate lines around his beard to add to the softness of his pose and it works. I find that dark stripe in the carpet a bit disconcerting as I cannot help myself but think it's his tail gone awry. Can you see that too? My eye keeps going there, it's about half an inch up from the bottom on the right hand side...call it a ghost tail.
It's hard to believe that this animal is a man eater as he looks so "cute" and "soft" and almost domesticated.

I truly appreciate your reviews table but I've noticed in the last couple of pieces of mine plus this one that you've reviewed you give me a great review but you rate me with a 4 1/2 and never say what you see that needs changed, I truly appreciate your reviews but if you see that somethng could be done different please tell me what it is, that's how I learn to become a better artist. Please don't ever think that you will offend me in anyway. It's been the honesty of other artist like yourself in their reviews that have helped me to get this far with my digtal art.
