Hi Lynnkah.

I think you did a beautiful job creating this.Love the yellow you put behind the tiger it really compliments him. I think you did a great job with the facial expression and the tiger's pose.

Nicely Done! :o) Helvi

I though I was going cross eyed in the end. i had 3 zebras in the one painting and it sold so someone liked it.

if you painted that many zebras I am extremly impressed and would have loved to have seen it

I wouldn't say this is a collage.. maybe a digital creation... excellent job.. your very best yet. The only think I wold change would be the ground.. it looks like he is lying on carpeting and I might have used a green background to suggest a jungle. But still this is excellent, my friend. VERY well done.

This is just not fair.I wanted so badly to give you a six star that this truly deserves.I love the background and the light spots on it.The face of the tiger is so very expressive,
almost loving. To me,this one ranks as one of your best!!
Don't forget what is owed to you,
Fabulous work Diane~

Lovely interpretation of a tiger! The pose chosen has a majestic air, very suiting for the subject. Clean, simple lines give this work a strong, bold look. Monochromatic color scheme achieves a unified appearance. Good use of highlighting on the chest of the tiger and in the background. Excellent work!

This is great! He looks like a big pussy cat on the carpet in a living room he has such a kind, soft and gentle appearance and look. Everything about him looks good- the coloring, stripes in the right places, the conformation, the head and eyes- all just right. I love the yellow background, which I think adds to the softness of this look and makes your tiger really stand out and come alive.

This is lovely! I love the golden and amber hued theme. (The pose looks much like a picture I am getting ready to post in the next day or two; not totally front face to, but the body position and relaxed pose). You've done a wonderful job. I cannot imagine the patience and expertise this took; but the results seem worth it. Very much like the shadows and texture of the foreground. thank you for sharing this.

Aww, I love tigers!! I find this painting quite pleasing to my eye, especially from the point of view of the contrasting and harmonious colors... I love the orange on the tiger and find that it contrasts quite nicely with the yellow behind it... but better yet, the colors don't clash and I really think the background colors are appropriate.. not only do they match on a visual level, but they also seem appropriate for the place where tigers are, looks like it could be an interpretation of an african sky almost. Except indoors. I can't really comment about the technique much but I will say that I love how the stripes have been drawn, but I wish the paws were as clear and sharp as the rest of the image, they don't seem totally consistent. Love the face, he looks so huggable! haha! In terms of the composition, which I am actually qualified to judge (haha, in case you haven't guessed, I'm a photographer), I wish the horizon line was placed a little lower in the frame and the tiger's face was further out of the center, probably towards the right side and down, giving the eye a sense of movement through the frame. Overall, I think this piece is really good and I enjoyed viewing it, thanks for sharing!

thank you so much for such a wonderful review, I do have to say however being a painter you'd be surprised how many differnt opinions I get as to where I place my main characters, LOL One will say its perfect, another will say it needs higher, another lower, another off to one side another off to the other side, I changed one of my paintings so many times to please everyone that I said forget it LOL
photography you can see your subject and where you want the horizon to be, in painting you guess at it by what your minds eye gives you,and everyone has their own idea of what they see and like. I do appreciate very much your reivew and the paws were hard to paint due to the photograph that I used as my reference , and all the other photos that I looked at, it was difficult to find one with the paws in clear focus so that was total guess work and it seemed a bit off to me also.
thank you again for a nice review and taking the time to write one it is always deeply appreciated

you paid me a huge complment so I guess that means it was a six rating huh LOL just kidding
your complemnt means more than any rating it was a real boost to my ego and you have no idea how much that means, I see flaws in all my work so your complment really made my night.
    thank you again
