I was scrolling down to start commenting on this image. I'm sure that you've read other reviews about the clarity, exposure, background, composition, timing etc. All phenomenal.
But, I want to point out something I noticed as I was scrolling. As the image moved off the top of the window, I had to stop as it became a horizontal image (about 4x5 ratio) and became much stronger. (Hard to believe that this image could be any stronger.)
Anyway, take a look at it again as a horizontal, cropping the top...do you see the little dent in the tree just below the green diagonal thingy...just about there!.
Congratulations on a great capture. Thanks for sharing.

Great close up, love that you captured the seed in his mouth because I know these guys are quick. Good color and sharpness. Like the muted back ground. Have a very similar shot myself I will post one of these days. Good work.

Hey, nice foray into mixed media! I like the crop, and I like the seed in his mouth, and the poster edges have enhanced some of the feathers. Donkeyoatey

This is a super close up shot of the little downy woodpecker. Great capture with the seed in his mouth and very nice depth of field.

Excellent detail in the total photo. Great cropping! One of the best of the day! Do you use anything else to attract these?
