How beautiful. The woodpecker is in great focus. The lighting is just right. I love the background blur of green. Great technique. Oh! I also like the food in the beak. Really adds to the photo.

Oh I do like that filter you have used, it really highlights all the pixels making it really pop out at you. Great colouring come through as well as so much detail. Nice angle chosen and I like the way you have cropped the image.

Real nice shot Willie . Other than crows and seagulls, the birds up here have gone into hiding . Good focus and nice detail with real good visual impact .

Pretty cool Willie, the poster edges are working well. There a little distracting top right of the tree, but its hardly anything.
The depth of field again is brilllliant as is your exposure.
The clarity & focus both are very good & strong.
Last of all the composition is very very good. Well done buddy

Here at home we have a serious problem with insects that are consuming our old growth Oak and Ash trees. Someone suggested importing bug eating birds, such as the wood peckers and to control the insect population at night with bats. Residents are up in arms, saying â??why do we want bats in our neighborhoodsâ??? They would rather they spray the bugs away, yea, just what we need, more chemicals. Bats eat 3 times their body weight each and every night, they donâ??t bother humans, except some people find them ugly. I donâ??t know, I would rather see the peckers and bats than have my water catch on fire. Thanks for showing us your pecker Willie.

The birdman does it again! I love the detail shown here. Using the poster edge filter is an interesting choice; it really really great here and natural too.
