Beautiful sharp focus. I am wondering though. Why did you crop out his body? Just curious. I also find the background, well i am on the middle. I cannot decide for or against! :)

Thank you so very much! I was very close and I was focused on the eye. I was using a 70-300mm lens and the focal lenth was 300.

A nice angled pose and cute beak action posted here! Your shot is very well focused and the exposure is excellent. Your settings have resulted in us seeing great detail and natural colours. I am not familiar with the filter you used, but if it created your background, I personally am not keen on it. Otherwise a very nice shot, well done!

thank you so very much! The poster edge filter is in photoshop. The backgroud is natural except for the filter.

Nice and crisp subject, but not too sure about the filter addition although the background colours work well with the image. Thanx for sharing

Oh wow this is a cool picture. I love the green back ground and yes the color. Cute bird but hate the darn thing lol that's because they make too much noise lol. But great job on the picture!

This is an awesome picture of this beautiful bird. It is amazing how close you get to get these fantastic pictures. You can even see the moss on the tree in this one. I like the way he is holding that seed in his beak. An excellent and beautiful picture.

nice and sharp, dynamic pose, good DOF separation of bird and background, fine tonal range and color saturation (in the red), glint in eye.

I think I'd have preferred to crop a little more on top and on the left.

great close up shot, great lighting and fantastic color and bokeh. I'm not sure the poster edge added a lot as it appears to add a noisy/grainy effect or appears a bit over sharpened. otherwise a great capture. nice job.

I like your effect here, good
close crop and frame as
well, nice with leaving the
tree in the frame, good reflections in the eyes

Wonderful crisp shot Willie. Excellent capture of the reflection in his eye. I love the background you created. It adds depth and a nice texture.
