Hard to peck for bugs, though, with a sunflower seed in your mouth! Great shot of this fellow- I love the angle that you've captured, the tree and the muted background which really makes the bird stand out. The shot is really clear with every feather articulated. The portion of the woodpecker shown is excellent- focusing on the head and beak with the seed. Great shot!

Nice picture. Pluses are given by the technical side and less by the compositional side. I like the background and its color. Focus is so great that seed in the beak could be well seen.

Wow what great detail on this. I can almost count the feathers. The color of the tree accents well with the woodpecker. I think the green background could use some detail as it flattens the picture and pulls away from the excellent detail. My preference would be to see more of the woodpecker for some added flow.

Fair bit of noise in this but still worthy of a complete 5. Who could not love a Downy? You caught him for sure nabbing a nibble and with great detail, especially around the eye, which is important.

I like that red patch on top of his black and white coloring. Your clarity is so good that we see everything here without a problem.
Good exposure too.
Like seeing him so close and in a vertical position.
The colors are nice, including the backround green, which enhances.
Like the filter you used, which adds an interesting texture.
