this is our state bird where i am from..see these characters all the time. have you ever sen them do the broken wing thing when danger is near it nest...they willl act like they are helpless to attract the predator away from the nest. the clarity is good. the angle of shot is great. the cropping is great. overall great work.

Thank you so very much! i have seen the kildeer do the broken wing thing but not the mocker.

seen it happen in the mississippi delta when i was a teenager, the german shepard was threaten the nest. momma off to the side moving around like it was hurt trying to get the dogs attention and when it did it flew off to pull the dog away from the nest. always remembered it.

This has GOT to be one of the better birding captures I've seen for a bit. But you are kind of famous for that aren't you. If not you should be.
It's perfect. The eye is amazingly sharp and not a single blowout in any highlight. Perfect. 6 thumbs up and I don;t part with 6s easy.

Very nice shot presented here in a big full frame composition. Like the curving branch and the pose struck by the bird. It seems relaxed yet alert. The photo is well exposed and sharp allowing us to see good fine detail. Very good image, well done!
