Nice shot. Excellent focus and detail, colours are really nice and the blurred background makes the bird really stand out.
Well done and thanks for sharing

This is such a crisp, colorful, focused - and well composed and cropped picture. I love everything about it. I can almost hear his call!

This is a charming shot of these friendly and beautiful birds. A photograph that is crystal clear and so attractive in the pose of the dove. Virtually every feather is visible, and it is excellent the way the subject fills the frame. Great use of natural framing and lighting to really show off this lovely bird well. (Incidentally, they are "Mourning" doves, named for their mournful call.) Really a great capture.

Stunning work, Willie, as per your usual! Focus on the eye is crystal sharp, details on the remainder of the bird's breast have been preserved well, and your DoF blurring is smooth and natural (I like that your DoF has kept the red feet in focus, but not so much that they compete for attention with the eye), rendering believable depth in the image and a background that acts as a perfectly natural backdrop. Composition/framing very good with the two branches, helping to hold the eye within the frame. Direction the bird is facing is perfect and I like that he is placed just out of the center enough to render an engaging and dynamic view. I find it is very easy for my eye to get drawn right up through the image, being pulled the whole time to the sharpness of the eye! Well done! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful photo! The dove is so unbelievably clear from it's eye to it's feet. I also love to take photos of nature ~ mostly butterflies, flowers and hummingbirds. Thanks for sharing your educational information also! I get many of these morning doves in my yard as well and love to hear their song!

Very nice shot of the morning dove. They are so pretty. They come to my feeder and eat sunflower seeds also. I love to watch them walking on the ground. Sometimes they will fly up on the feeder. Nice sharp focus with a good background blur. Good impact. Thanks for sharing.
