good expression capture david with some good details in this portrait with good colouring & poise, i think the hair being darker adds enough depth to this but i feel with some lighting effect added it you could enhance the initial impact some more with shadows etc, but it is good work anyway, well done

    ah youir spot on adrian got so carried away adding the black to the hair to tone the red a little i forgot about high lights , thank you for both suggestions and score

Wow, colour and done so well. I love the detailing here and the face has the distinct characteristics of native peoples. The bridge of the nose, I kove it and the details of the earrings and the jewelery great. So well done. Have you tried using inks and washes yet? thanks for sharing, Cyn

the pawnee state park is lil over hours drive from here. im in the middle of a lot of indian history...lol...the shading is good. the facial expression is great. nice blend of color. overall good job.
