Beautiful shot of my favorite bird! You sound so much like myself ~ I love the butterflies and hummingbirds! The hummingbird is so crisp and I love how the flowers fade out around her! I also love how vivid the colors in the flowers are! Great work!

lovely punch of orange and red colors really makes this stand out visually. Nice DOF, with a "quiet" background hat does not interfere; and your ss was right on to catch the movement of his little fast wings. Good job removing the old weed too. Thanks for sharing!

This bird photo is beautiful. This could be better framed. The lighting is well controlled. Color contrast is nicely done. Zoom into the left side more and crop some of the right side off might help. faisoft

There is a lot of quality in this image. The colors really pop. The composition of the elements is just great. But what really shines is the focus and depth of field which transform this into three dimensions for the viewer. F9.5 doesn't mean a thing at 300mm, yielding a spectacular blur to the background while leaving the subject visible in pin sharp detail. It's also nice that the flower in the foreground is within the focus window, which contrasts nicely with its siblings in the murk. The position and beautiful, sharp and textured color of the bird in frame makes him the star of the show which he has successfully stolen from the vibrant flora.

Fantastic is the word. One sees many hummingbirds, this is the best I have seen. The flowers, background and main subject bring the whole scene together for a Great Photo.
You have no idea how much money you same me? When I see something like this I say "Sure glad I did NOT enter anything"! Thanks Willie for sharing this one.

This is great on the focus as usual. But I do find the four flowers on the right a distraction, You do not need that extra space, So I would crop it out.
