Wow; Willie, this photo pops with color. Great shot of the hummingbird. I think your shutter speed in this one is perfect. The wings of the bird are blurred just right to show the movement of them. To capture the wings of a hummingbird this way is very difficult. The way the head is tipped enhances the impact of the shot. I think the out of focus flowers increases the depth of field greatly. Wonderful detail to be enjoyed here.

Very well done Willie! Highly enjoyable! I wish you the very best of luck with the contest.

As always your pictures of birds are stunning. You seem to have mastered the art of capturing them on camera. You seem to know their habits and movements very well. Hats off to you! Good luck in the contest!

Wonderful capture. The wings are so fast and to get them in this position is fascinating. The red and orange flowers add nice balance and life to this work.

Great photograph! I have tried over and over again to catch these fellas in flight, and they are just outside on the patio. Best I can do is similar to yours is but not near as in focus. You have to have an uncanny ability to anticipate where they are going to go, because no autofocus I know of is fast enough to follow these birds around. Super work, once again.

Good job Willie, I love humming bird pictures; I have taken some myself. I love it when you can capture them on a flower not just buzzing around a feeder. It is hard to do. They will not sit long for a shot. Keep it up!

How difficult to get this picture of a hummingbird! You have captured a wonderful contrast in color between the foreground and background. And, of course the details of this tiny bird. I love the flowers. Would you consider cropping it a bit so that the bird is more of focal point?

Great shot! I can't believe that you were able to capture this so perfectly. It is so hard to catch them because they move so rapidly! I have come close to getting a good shot. But I am a complete amateur!
