What a beauty. I like the close up showing excellent detail.I could count the single hair The colors are admiringly natural and the DOF is fine. It is a little bit to tight framed for my personal liking; but it still works.

Cropping again :) this time the cow was close to a fence which looked distracting when I was setting up the shot so I decided to leave it out. There wasn't actually any cropping in this shot it was framed this way in camera. Thanks for your comments though, they really are appreciated

Mmm. Distracting fence. understandable; but in this case it may would have been better too cropp more of the cow, just a bit beside the horn, I think. That would look like purpose, not like accidentally as current. The ting is we ourselves know how it looks in reality and add what we miss. The average viewer dos not do that, He/she more likely accept a half of a cow missing more easily than a missing tale. Again the best way would be a photo editing program what allows cloning/erasing. A fence is an easy object to eliminate.

I have never seen one of these up close and see that he has a lot of long hair.Focus with good clarity and good stop action as he is feeding.Good placement to see those wide horns also.I like the one eye peaking through.Enjoyed.Thank you.

Hairy little devil isn't he. Good sharp focus brings out some wonderful details in his coat. Nicely placed in the frame with good color balance. A fine composition.

What a beauty and have to say one of my favorite cows! They always look sooo darn cute and young! Love the hair cascading down on his face and the sharp focus shows off his wooley coat to a T! The horns not sure of but hear they are such gentle creatures! Well framed and great natural colors!

A very nice photo of this lovely cow! The shot is very sharp and the exposure is good showing us in good detail the long straggly nature of its hair. Colours are also very natural. Perhaps the shot can be improved by not having the back of the cow so close to the edge of the photo? Nevertheless a good work, well done!

Thanks for the review. The choice of having the back close to the edge of the frame was made for me as there was a fence really close by that would have been a distraction had it been included. Glad you enjoyed it

Great shot! I love the look of the subject, almost benign, as he continues to chew the grass. The clarity lets us look at the wooly hair and the pink nose that pop out at us. The horns are a nice horizontal. thanks for sharing Cyn

I think they are the neatest looking cows the way their hair grows. I like the way you took the close up and have so much of him in the picture. I like the way he has that hay in his mouth and the way he stopped eating to look at you. An excellent picture.

Nice shot!
I really like the look of this cow! I have never seen one like this! Do they use the hair for something?

Not as far as I'm aware Willie. It's very coarse and with horns like those I wouldn't fancy trying to shear one
