I rather like this image and it caught my eye as I flew by.

COMPOSITION
I like it for it's simplicity and uncluttered feeling. You have nicely composed into the frame two objects, the briccks and nature two opposites but yet married into one frame juxtaposed yet balancing.

It is with consideration that part of the foliage is not evident in order to allow the bricks to have a full view, very cleverly done and it works.

TECHNIQUE
Your technique cannot be faulted for you have everything in focus that you want. The saturation is good and true to life and the colour well represented. You took this in ambient light capturing the shadowing on the leaves and your POV is nice , smack on.

I also like that you filled the whole frame with the subject.

Yes, you entered the bricks contest and have given everyone a run for their money.

What, I'm out of 6 stars?? Shoot! When I first looked at this, I said that is a very nice watercolor. Did you add a watercolor effect or is this pretty much what you saw? Either way, I like it very much with the old bricks with very white mortar and the green shades of the tree setting it all off perfectly!

Thank you very much! No, no effects. Straight from the camera just a little cropped. Someone had just cleaned up that old wall I guess and may painted the mortar white.

This is beautiful the way you took this one. I like the way you see the leaves in front ot the bricks. I like the way you see the shadow on the bricks. Lighting and focus are excellent. Good luck in the contest.
