Nice clarity and colors. But it is a little too close IMHO. The viewer has to keep going from one extreme side to the other while viewing the eyes which are the focal point. Otherwise, nice.

Wonderful capture of the eyes.
A great pose for a close up shot for her next movie too.
The hair looks like an etching and her nose moist from smelling that delicious meal. Your teasing her while eating in front of her. Shame

What an excellent entry for the contest. This kind of dog has such big eyes and it looks like the dog is constantly begging for something. Then I read your notes and get it confirmed that I have interpreted the expression correctly.
Your focus is spot on showing nice and sharp details. Gidget has also such lovely bright and shiny eyes and I like the little white spot which gives them extra life. Your exposure is perfect and the colors are nice and natural.
I think the tight cropping works well because the attention is then entirely on the eyes. This is a well taken close up of Gidget and I wish you luck with the contest.

i get into terrible trouble when Harry my cat (we have three but Harry belongs to me ha ha ) looksw up at me at meal times , so i know just what you have to go thro Willie , and Harry,s eyes arnt anywhere as near as pleading or appealing as Gidgets , just brilliant
