I like this, filly. It does have that creepy feel to it. Tree branches tend to do that. With the building in the background, it's all about the line work. With man's touch as well as mother nature's touch. I like the color you gave it. Halloween will roll around again so maybe a shot like this in a cementry would really be creepy! lol You can do it! Enjoyed your creation. Annie

Such a surreal and rather ghostly treatment! It looks like the cover for a mystery novel. So fantastic with the purple colors and the multitudinous branches and twigs.

How about "Bat Web" for a title? The branches are just wickedly good. With the building background, it reminds me of the Batman tv series--the beginning shows a scraper like that one with a spotlight going around. Love this with all the texture. excellent job.

Very intriguing image. The filter definitely gives it a creepy feeling. I think adding the filter made this a stronger image because it adds a layer of mystery. There are a few spots where the purple seems a bit strong in areas, may be a good idea to lighten those a little bit on the left hand side. Very well done.

I really like what you have done with this photograph. It almost seems to have a "negative" effect to it. Is it over exposed to create this look? I have done similar things with a few of my photos and I liked how they turned out as well. Very interesting how you can turn an every day picture into something eye popping. Thanks.

Hello jaxonmoses. Thanks for your review. The picture was not overexposed. You are seeing the work of a filter.
I see you are new to FAR. Usually people at FAR try to match their ratings with their comments. If nothing is wrong..overexposure, soft focus etc. then a 5 is appropriate. But when you grade down and don't tell the photographer what problems you saw, then we are left in the dark. I don't mind being graded down, because usually that's an opportunity to learn, and this is a learning site. But when people give a completely positive review, and then take off a whole star, it's very frustruating, and not appropriate. Please keep this in mind for future reviewing. It's an approach that will help both you as a reviewer (in that you'll have to think a little harder about the picture) and the person being reviewed.

Fun abstract looking image. The white halo effect around the edges is very creative. The purples, grays and whites are nicely done. Good one.

This rating does not count towards story rating or artist rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

Hi galwes. Thanks for your review. I see you're new to FAR. Generally we try to match our ratings to our comments. So if all your comments are positive, then a 5 is appropriate. If there are problems like focus, over-exposure, etc. then grading down would be fine. I don't mind a down grade as long as the reason is explained. This is a learning site, and we try to explain our reasons for the ratings. Otherwise the photographer is left in the dark. Thanks, Phyllis

Great effect here and love the squiggly branches throughout the shot. The purple adds interest as does the square building in the background. A very neat visual.
