A very touching thoughts per artist notes . A classic family scene . The composition is well thought, realistic and dramatic. Very defined details and facial expressions. Excellent choice and used of colors. Painted with high degree of expertise.

And I salute yet another side of MK Flood. You are absolutely right. When a solider goes to war so does his whole family. There is no normal life until he returns and establishes his whole world again. Being away and being back all take adjustments from everyone. We often forget how it affects the children and the parent that is left to hold the family together. Thank you for reminding us of the sacrifice of the whole family.

like me, you have put it all into htis one picture.. This is a picture about emotions, in every sense, highs and lows. and you have expressed them well. I never had a father or family, met my mother and stepfather at 8 years old but I can imagine it all. The day of the twin towers is burnt into everyone's memory- I did not leave the tv all day. The picture works on an emotional level, using your usual style and few plain colours..which is what you intended.Hope you put on some more..

Wonderful drawing about a wonderful subject. I appreciate you giving returning military men and women the recognition they so deserve. You have done a great job capturing the emotion and relief of these characters. Well done.

Such a great artwork conveying so many emotions.. The fear of loss of a loved one at war, the happiness of his return and to be able to hug him again alive.. I love the medals you put around showing the heroism of the soldier and other images related to war and terrorism.. Composition is great with vibrant colors all around..
