"No matter what country you are from," what an amazingly radical statement!
In 1944 Mom was working and caring, with her mother's help, for a one year old (me).
The telegram came and our world would never be what it might have been. Dad was an MIA (Anzio, Italy).
Mom lived the rest of her life, (86), I believe, always holding on to the hope of the the door opening and of pressing close to her Joe once again. You have described this anguish so beautifully. Your artwork and your words have put a focus on this yearning so very well and exposed it to those who hopefully will never have to endure it, thank you.

You certainly, have the emotion and thoughts of your comments in the picture. As the wife of an retired Navy sailor I know how true your art is. The parallels to events of past and presence are visible as well. A great way to honor those who sacrifice so much.

A very excellent and emotional work. It pulls at the heart strings for sure. I feel sorry for the poor women who are left to bring up children all alone while their husbands are out at war.

Awesome... I too remember the day and salute those who fight for our country and our freedom. Your artwork made me cry, our families are what is most important in our lives and many of us have suffered, for one reason or another. Your ink shows a lot of emotion. Great job!

I think you captured this very nicely, I like, no love your artwork, your daughter is also very talented, you can see the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, she deffinitally uses the same materals as you but you can tell your work a part, she has her won way of doing her art and yours, which by the way is great, it's nice to see that difference in you both. great job

we would play games like you sketch and ill color and visa versa. her interest is of course gonna be different from me because we are as individuals, but i think the markers did have a an influence on her. she has took what she learned from me and blossom with it with her own style and have been proud of all the work she has produce(shes the better artist)..lol. glad you have enjoyed this and do appreciate te great review.

Another awesome drawing! You are just incredible with your markers. Fantastic detail and the relief on her face warms my heart. Very well done, once again. How long does it take you to make one?
