It's a masterpiece! Deserves full six stars but Alas, I have none left to part with. The hummingbird hovering over the fragrant flowers on a bright sunny day has been beautifully depicted!! Thanks for sharing this lovely artwork!!

Hi Cleo, As I was scanning the welcome page for new art to review I came across this. It caught my eye right away!!! It is breathtaking!!!!
Love the beautiful flowers surrounding the Hummer! The fact that you added watercolors to the mix makes it appear lightweight. Perfect visual for a lightweight hummingbird. The hummer seems so wispy. What I see is a beautiful summer day that's light and breezy. The temperature us just right for a lovely outing with no humidity! I love those kind of days! I think you caught that kind of day perfectly! I absolutely LOVE IT! I don't know how I missed it, but so glad I got to see it now!!! BIG Congratulations for winning "In Flight Art"! You more than deserved that honor My Friend! Wish I could give this 10 stars!!!! :o) I just might have to write a poem for it :o) So glad you re-posted it!!! :o) Nancy

Cleo, You inspired me so much with your lovely hummingbird I just had to write this poem for you.
It's called : Lightweight Flight
She is a lightweight of the sky
So beautiful in flight
Though wingbeats may be fast and sharp
Her elegance has bite
A shining entity of wind
Where feathers flow with ease.
That's what she is, when she takes flight,
Upon a silky breeze
Both delicate and very strong
Her fragile body shows
That there is magic in the air
That only this bird knows
She is a sight for any eye
That longs to stop and rest
Upon the jewel that flies with wings
And never seems to rest
She is a regal entity
And we are quite impressed
When she flies by, right by our side
To sip on nectar's best

Your digital painting of this lively little bird amid the flower blossoms is colorfully 'Dreamy' ( almost mildly Surreal! ) and it's very enjoyable to look at!

Personally, I am not a fan of pastel colors, or flower paintings. However, this one is a rare exception! It just pops off the screen! So full of life and energy and movement while conveying a sense of serenity. This is almost enough to get me over my general dislike of flower paintings... :) Fantastic work here!
