My friend, I see exactly what you mean about the blue "tag". Perhaps some plastic got stuck on her claw? The image is stunning, I love the bird in flight, and those wonderful pink flowers with yellow centres. As usual from you, this is a winner. Cyn

You caught his fast little wings in such fast motion, and the colours are superbâ?¦vibrantâ?¦I am sure you know green and red are opposite ends of the spectrumâ?¦ they have some sort of an impact on the human optics and brain! My father taught me that the colour red is the first thing a human eye sees and reacts to above everything else! Pictures and colours and movement alter peoples moodsâ?¦.so you are something right! Excellent work!

It certainly looks like a band and then not, my next thought was maybe it was a petal from the last flower visited. Like that you have other flowers in this shot. And you timed this so well with the shape and view of the body. Good focus and lighting. Well done.

This is a neat shot of a hummingbird, and I am really impressed that both the bird and the flower is very sharp. They are both so clear that this photo almost has got a 3D feel to it. The blurry background is perfect and the colors are truly lovely. The flowers for sure brightens this scene, and the exposure is spot on.
I have been wondering if it would have been an idea to crop this photo a bit tighter since the blue thing hanging from the foot is the unusual aspect of this photo. This would bring the bird more forward and the blue object would be better seen. Still it is nothing wrong with the placement of the bird within the frame.
I think this is a very nice photo and I wish you luck with the contest.
