Thanks so much, I have noticed with some of photos on site there are similarities between parts of US and South Australia :)
-
yes i was noticing the same thing...yall have tonadoes? i think they call them cyclones there right?..this flatland in texas sees them all the time...
-
We are lucky enough not to get cyclones this far south, they get some in far north Queensland, Western Aust and Northern Territory but not usually as bad as your tornadoes.

The eye level capture sure makes a wonderful landscape photo. The FG is outstanding and the river in the BG really makes a nice photo. Thanks for the great information.

great photo. I love seeing the world down under. The depth of field is great. I like how you've captured this thru the trees. The little slip of water is nice. Thanks for sharing

This is wonderful the way you took it. I like the way you see the river in this. It is so straight. I like the way you see the distance shore. I like the way you have all the foliage in the foreground. An excellent picture.

I like the colors in the fore ground and the blue sky with puffy clouds. The river is in the center of the photo which violates the three quarter rule of composition. I am not clear what to look at. Is the fore ground the subject or is the river the subject or is the white shore? To make this a more interesting photo the river could have come from one corner to the opposite corn or from the bottom and fading out in one corner.

Thanks - really don't agree with your star rating the photo is not technically at fault for such a review, there is no rule that says you have to follow the rule of two thirds and a lot of professioal photographers do not. Have you read the rules on how to award star rating??? The reason the river is in the middle is because it comes through a narrow channel of sand dunes and you have no other view of it from that vantage point.

****** Six Stars (Exceptional:Simply Outstanding)
***** Five Stars
(Excellent: Enjoyable and no revisions needed)
**** Four Stars
(Good: Adjustments needed)
*** Three Stars
(Below Average)
** Two Stars
(Below Average: Needs lots of work)
* One Star
(Poor: Major revision required)
This is the recommendation on awarding stars when critiquing work - just in case you couldn't find it on the FAQ section. :)

Thank you for this information. I hope you will process my review and ranking as constructive criticism. In addition to your information a reviewer can only select two five star rankings a week... I'm not sure why you didn't include that in your reply. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder which means beauty is subjective. I gave my opinion and offered suggestions... should I expect a reply with more from the FAQ section or are we finished?

Lovely capture. Good DOF. Colors, composition and clarity are call excellent. Might want to reduce the shrubs in the foreground just a tad.
