What a neat find. I love the patina you were able to capture. Now I have that old I love Lucy scene running thru my head. :)

Nice comp. Love the different colors of metal. A bit of vignetting in the corners should be corrected. Subject is not of great interest.

Thanks very much, not sure I agree with your star rating but that is your perogative. I applied the vignette it is meant to be there as stated in the notes. Also I guess subject interest is in the eye of the viewer.

You did very nice on this presentation. I like the little vignette to really bring out the POV. Very good light to give the great tones. I first though you added a little toning. Thanks for the information. My wife's favorite wine comes from Australia.

Thanks very much, love Australian wines myself but we are getting inundated with New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc which seems to be the popular white at the moment.

I love this shot lovely texture of the old crushing machine. Colour great, very sharp and in focus. The vignetting makes the machine stand out from the foliage. Well done Sean

Love the look of this old machine! My wife and I have a few glasses of Australian chardonnay at the weekends. First started drinking it back in the 80's but over the years have now found that the quality seems to vary greatly. Most annoying of all is that sometimes we find a wine that is really nice for a while then they start producing something that tastes quite different. Would you happen to know why this happens? Your image is enjoyable, well composed, sharp and has good exposure. I have liked looking at it and reviewing it. Very nice photo, well done!

Thanks for the feedback. In regard to the wine changing taste it can be a number of things, 2004 variety was an excellent year because the climate was just right, since then there have only been a couple of outstanding years where the climate has co-operated due to 8-10 years of drought in some areas. The other problem is an influx of areas growing the grapes and the soils don't quite come up to standard but some of the larger wineries were going for price rather than quality. That is one of the reasons I prefer the boutique style vineyards to the big name ones. This season they say will be the best since 2004 as everything has gone right. Proof will be in the tasting.

Great subject matter. Thanks for the detailed artist's notes so we can ascribe the function to the image. The barrell looks intricate, the tiny panels and the joint is amazing. Well done my friend. Cyn

What? A crushing machine? What ever happened to the old traditional foot stomping of the grapes? I am disappointed. lol Good composition, focus and detail. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
