Oh this just made my day Mary, Zach is just adorable and you captured a special moment here with the beautiful eyes and the red tinge to his button nose as he crawls to grandma! He sure has grown and what a lady killer he will be! You must be so proud of this beautiful little guy!

Thanks Mary, he is a joy, just one of those babies that smiles, rarely cries and wraps everyone round his little finger :) Mary

This is a great portrait shot of your grandson. Nice looking boy. I like his curious look. Nicely composed with good focus, detail and dof. Good artist notes. Well done. Thanks for sharing. Sam

A very nice portrait of a lovely little boy. You captured him at a good angle and his pose and expression are very natural. Exposure and sharpness are very good. A most enjoyable portrait, well done!

Very nicely done. A good close up shot. Very nicely focused with good lighting as well. You can tell you were on the ground too. LOL.

What a darling little chap Zach is! You have captured a lovely, natural expression of curiosity on his face - I can see he's coming for your camera! Great focus on the eyes. Adorable!

One of the best of the day. Everything looks so natural which is the best. I really like the ground level look and it is priceless expression.

Excellent subject ( even if you are wary of taking people shots. I'm a grandfather so I an familiar with your problem) great composition, with terrific color, even with what appears to be a lack of flash and focus and DOF are spot on. Very well done. He will get your camera next time.

I love how you are on his level. Too often photos of children are taken from the level of an adult's height. Your F5 Aperture setting is allows enough of a DOF but then also blurs out the background so it does not take away from your grandson. I personally would not have shot with ISO200. In daylight, ISO 100 is going to give you a crisper shot. The higher your ISO the more digital noise you are going to get. Should you need a faster shutter speed you can always adjust your f stop and open the aperture as wide as it will go. A good rule of thumb for hand held shooting without camera shake is 1/60 sec. So anywhere between 1/60 and 1/125s for this shot is excellent.

Happy Shooting, especially when Zach turns 7 on Wednesday. Hope to see celebration photos!!

He is so cute and this is a wonderful picture of him. I like the way you took this so close up and filled the frame with him. I like the expression that you caught. I like the way he is looking at you . An excellent picture.
