Excellent composition of this shot! The branches frames this little guy well. The details on the squirrel are outstanding. You really captured the shot perfectly :)Thanks for sharing! Joan

Great shot, This squirrel is the fattest I have seen. He really is having a feast. Love the dark part on the right, it gives the sense that he is hiding and you found him sneaking in the shrubs eating all the candy-or nuts or bird food.

Thank you so very much! All the squirrels and birds are well fed as I put food out for them every day all year long. This is my pay back.

What a fantastic shot of a squirrel, and I have of course run out of higher ratings. I think this must be one of the best photos I have seen of this animal, and I think it has very much to do with the soft light of a late day and that it is sort of hiding behind a branch. It makes this scene look so natural.

Your focus is of course spot on and very sharp showing great details both in the fur and the face. As always you have captured so well the bright and shiny eye. As already mentioned I think the light is just perfect and the colors are nice and natural. The deep green background looks great and this little fellow is really standing out.

I also like very much the placement of the squirrel within the frame and the tight cropping. It is all together an excellent photo. Well done !!

Thank you so very much! My Boston helps me keep these guys up the tree as she thinks that is her job. It is really fun to watch her run and hop to help her see.

Just gorgeous Willie! I know they're considered a pest but I love squirrels - you have to admire their intelligence and tenacity. This is a wonderful composition and has great clarity too.

Thank you so very much! They are not a pest to me. I love having them around. I feed them corn year round but they love the sunflower seed.

This shot is excellent and certainly deserves a 6, but 5 is all it will let me award. Nice big frame filling composition presented here of a very beautiful squirrel. Your shot is very sharp and very well exposed providing us with lots of great detail and natural looking colours. Very good photo, well done!

Beautiful looking photo of this little fellow. Great lighting with super composition - everything here is perfect. The twig is the only draw back however, on so great photo I can overlook an item like that.
