Very interesting scale, I LOVE the look of it. The bottom is quite attractive. It must be a great conversation piece. I like the way you set it up in this areas. You always wonder when you see something like this what it was they were weighing?

I like the way you positioned it, and the effects placed around the boarder of this picture.

Ok... Your lighting as usual is superb! The light from the window plus the light in the room cast off soft shadows. The details and the age of this piece is amazing.

I remember these being used in shops when I was a kid. They probably got me into science as I was fascinated by the fact that combinations of different weights could balance against 1 bigger thing. Reviewing your shot has been a most pleasurable experience. I believe that its exposure is first class as is the sharpness you have achieved. Together with a wonderful composition you have created a very fine image, well done!

Technically a good image, as in the exposure etc. The subject just seems lost, especially the background being such a good a complimentary colour. Some bright vegetables and/or flour, made a story about the scales. Nice shot though.
