Lovely image - really pretty. I can imagine myself there with you... I personally would have increased the clarity, and contrast just to really make the image stand out and catch the viewers eye more... but otherwise - nice photo!!

I agree with you the colors of the background are not breathtaking and are a little bright in places but the rest of the pic makes up for that and it would not be the same without the lines on the horizon. Story goal met. Nice action in the water. Composition is great.

It does make it a very peaceful photo with the wave action and the sunset tones. At first I though the poles were a little distracting, but the longer I look at it the more I like it.

I live this image

I like that the horizon is set high in the frame...that the sun is golden on the horizon.

I like the single wave in front of the pilings.

The exposure is great as is the composition.
