Hello Willie, Fantastic photograph, with exelant visual impact! Great fall colours reflecting on the water, giving the picture a water colour feel about it! Briliant focusing on the Herron, which also has a fantastic reflection! The log adds to the shot very well indeed. This is the sort of photograph one would expect to see in a glossy magazine! Another great photo taken in a different angle,and the reflection of the bird in the water is quite amazing.You can even see the details and clarity to it.Well composed,great lighting and contrast.

I think the reflection is amazing. It almost looks like a perfect computer generated mirror image. There is no image distortion created by the movement of water at all.

Thank you so very much! This is just the way it was shot. All I did was crop and adjust contrast.

Please excuse my skepticism Willie but it looks too good to be true to me. I have never seen a mirror reflection like this in water in real life. I have only ever seen them on computer generated reflections. I am a born skeptic and I tend to question everything. Either way, real of not, it is still well done. My skepticism is my problem, not yours. I would have to see the original on the camera before I believed it was a natural reflection. That's just the way I am in my old age because too many people have fooled me in my life. However, I also understand that truth can be far stranger than fiction.

Believe it or not it is real. I would not know how to do this on the computer. When there is no wind this lake will look like glass. It is a common scene. The fall colors help too. I have a lot more some are flying and you can see the reflections too. There is another one I have the bird went in the water and all you see is his butt in the air and his head all the way to the wings is underwater and a big splash. All of that is in a reflection too. I am glad you think it is too good to be true! That means I may have a winner. Thank you!

You're welcome Willie. I will believe you in that case. You must have lots of fun photographing things on that lake. I wish I had a nice clean clear lake like that near us. The best we have are a few dams on the farm and the water in them is very muddy.

I have no idea what other images might be in the competition that you have entered but they are going to have to be pretty spectacular to beat this! What an amazing capture. A truly fabulous photograph and if I had a 6* rating to give you - there would have been no hesitation, but sadly 5 is the highest for today in my deposit account!
