This is a wonderful close up of a blue jay. Some good details to be seen. I like how his head seems to "pop" into the frame.
Excellent composition, focus and exposure.
Background is not overpowering so the subject stands out. An enjoyable picture. Good luck in the contest.

I love the detail of your subject. Very crisp and the natural light works well with it. The reflection of the landscape and sun in the birds eye is great and the background works well with this image. Great Work. Thanks so much for the share.

Beautiful Macro shot that shows the birds head and the expression of his eyes fully. I never saw the feathers in such details - the background helps to give the picture some kind of mystic effect - the yellow over the head is just the touch it needs to become outstanding - great shot

This is a gorgeous picture of this beautiful bird. The way you were able to get this so closeup is amazing. The look and the way the light is reflected in the eye are stunning. The detail you see in the feathers is awesome. I like the golden glow behind him too. They are fun birds to watch. They don't seem to be afraid of anything. An exceptionally beautiful picture. Good luck in the contest.
