Wow! Look at this little cutie! I hate spiders but you've really taken an exceptional up close capture of this little charmer. Love the catches in his eyes, the shallow depth of field with your selective focus as well as the rich light that affords such exceptional detailing. Great compositional richness with your framing as well as fantastic exposure balance.

This is what macro is all about. Seeing detail that we can't easily see with our own eyes. I don't even know what parts I'm looking at, but it is loaded with interest and impact.

#1 Ranked Digital Artist!

You are a brave soul to get this close to a jumping spider. This is an amazing picture the way you took it. The detail you see is awesome. The way the eyes look is fascinating.. the lighting, focus and overall impact are all excellent. Good luck in he contest.

Thank you. With the spider only 1/8th of an inch long, did not take too much bravo. Now it he was a few inched long, well???????

Great shot!! I'm impressed with your DOF. Most macro shot have a very small DOF. The lighting and shadows are perfect. You really caught a lot of detail in this shot. Great job!!

Thank yoiu very much. My luck was that the front of the spider is rather flat.

Although this intimidates me a bit, it's a great shot! Incredible to see what such small creatures look like up close eh! Great amount of clarity! Not to mention, I bet there was a lot patience required to capture this! Great work!

Thank you. At my age, getting down there was no problem but the getting back up was. Photographed this guy for several days in a row - well assume that it was the same one.

What a great shot, it made me shiver, not a spider fan. You did a great job with a subject this small. Well done

Wow scary and beautiful at the same time! Good interest! Good details! I like the blurred darker background making this guy pop! Thanks for sharing! Cindy
