I am out of 6's but I will hold one for you next time because I love this shot and because I think no one here or elsewhere shoots food as well as you do Patti. Every inch of the frame is perfect. Perfect light. Rich color and always the perfect arrangement.

This looks really delicious. Would not mind at all to have a portion just now. My only comment to this composition is that I think I would have liked this photo even better without the napkin in the background. I find it a bit distracting. Perhaps a plane color would have worked better.

Apart from this I think this is a very nice photo. Your focus is nice and sharp and the colors are really good. I also think the light is good, and this looks very delicate with the very light gray background.

I also think the format you have used here suits your photo. It is a very nice balance in your photo and an excellent DOFF.

Oh yum! So softly pink and what a great idea to have the lemon cookies on the side. Love the composition, the colors are perfect - especially the sherbet and the cherries, great focus, and a real treat to review.

I like the limited palate of colors, especially since the colors are so appealing.
I can imagine the taste of the ice-cream, and am eating with my eyes.
Like that we have a few shades of pink..the light ice cream, the cherries, the napkin.
Grey backround, and white plate work well.
Like the transparency of the bowl..the better to see the rest of the ice cream and how its melting at the bottom.
The pattern of the napkin adds to the photo, against the solid color of the ice cream. Like the angle, the diagonal line which adds to the composition.
nice vertical frame, especially with how high the ice cream stands..let's see..is that two or three scoops?
The focus is excellent.
The light is nice, with the right side being a little brighter than the left...gives slightly more dimension.

Comments: Great picture of the Sherbet. At least you used Sherbet to save a little on the calories. But then you had to throw in the cookie. Good Composition using the Bullseye rule. Good DOF. Good Color Harmony. Good focus with crisp detail. I do wish you would include the camera and lens information along with the camera settings. Thanks for sharing.

That look yummy. Could of uses one yesterday was 85F and was out in the hay field for 4 hrs. It is so clear, you could reach out and take a bite, I like cookies with my ice cream also.

Are there people in the US who do not celebrate if they are not working? Your dessert looks gorgeous, tasty and attractive. Thought it was ice cream! Looks just the job in your present hot weather. Here we might be on the mend, did not rain for the first time in at least 10 days, but never saw any sun! When it gets hot again we will definitely be getting some cooling desserts as in your great image, well done!
