Lovely.
It reminds me of the carefree days of childhood, when what we thought about was what was in front of us, the absorption in the present.
It's summer and the warm sun on their backs feels good with the cool water.
Love the shades of blue, and their yellow hair, the whites, the pale skin tones.
Like the brush strokes, the shading, the blending, the way you've described their hair.
Nice compositon, with their backs to us, one higer, one more submerged in the water.
nice angle.
I love the feeling this picture gives me.
I didn't know you painted.
Any possiblity of doing it again?

Thank you again for the wonderful review. If you would like I can email you the image! I wouldn't mind at all. Someone did that for me recently on far when I really liked what he had done. Right young lady. Before I say anything about this, I have to say "I know nothing about painting!" but I do know what I like, and I love this. You have really caught the moment, but for me the thing I like the most, is the hair. I think you have caught that as if you put it there. I think it is really great. It has body, and life, and it's colours are so real too. Well done for that. I think you must have all had a really great day out. It is so sad that those days are well behind us now, but that's why we have grand children isn't it? We do get one more chance to live it again. No grand children for me yet, but just as long as they don't make any noise, lol. This is a great painting Sarah, and I want to thank you for the share. Roy :0)

Thanks, Roy, for the lovely review and wonderful compliments. That is the bottom line, for me, on art, and yes, even photography....what you like. I always think about living with something on my wall or not. And hair, yes I love painting hair! Making it seems so real. I had one red headed girl and a blond, but the redhead (on the left) did not turn until high school...I am a redhead....really....tho the gray highlights have become a lovely part of my hair color. Time goes so quickly, and tomorrow, my youngest a son Matt is turning 42! He is not married....yet. One of my daughters is married with no children...the other daughter is going to be married this summer, but I do not think I will have grandchildren, regrettably, but so it shall be. thank you for sharing your 2 beautiful daughters, Paige and Hayley! Well I hope all goes well tomorrow, and I am glad you liked the picture, of us. It was taken on my iphone so the quality is not there, but it was only a snap so no bother. anyway where is the salad cream, lol, and if you are going to a birthday bash, how you gonna lose weight, lol. Lol. It is 2 aqm and still you have a sense of humour. Ok, I know your clocks are all a bit slow over the pond, but I do believe that the tomatoes will have a fur coat by then. Save me a piece of birthday cake will you, please. Roy :0)
