My friend, I am a cat lover, currently have 5 indoor and 5 feriles that I feed. It doesn't really matter what any of us think about the painting, if your friend is happy and it brings her comfort and joy, then you have exceeded at the task. I do love the quirky cat, and the bright colours are a celebration rather than mourning for her Marilyn. Cyn

I'm a cat lover too. I have two Persians that are strictly indoor cats. They allow me to live in their home! Thanks for the great rating and review. I really appreciate. Marilyn loved the painting.

There are a lot of enjoyable aspects of this image. The color contrast between the wall, floor and rug make the cat stand out and make it look less flat. I also really enjoy the accuracy of the cat's morphology and the shadow casted by the light. I also love the texture brought out throughout the image by the various brush strokes. Great style!

Quirky is a good word for this painting, the garish background colors set of the main subject extremely well. I get the impression of a grizzled old tomcat who is Guarding his territory in a very defiant proud yet likable manner great picture

I really like the application of the primary colors. The cats fur is playful and the posture of the cat is appealing.

The kitty looks a bit scruffy and messy. i would clean up his fur a bit and then it would be a really good piece. Nice colors that you used too.
