You sure did a nice job in presenting this great work. I first thought maybe it should be lighten a little, but now I am not sure.

Hi Mary, nicely composed this piece.

I like that you kept everyone in good focus, after all we do want to see the sculptures. If I can make one suggestion, and it's subjective and ONLY my opinion I would suggest you crop up a bit more because that really bright bronze coloured rock that bird is sitting on is vying for attention, it's too bright and steals away from the rest, can you see that? Never mind, no points deducted for I could be all wrong on this....or right!

Technically you have handled the in camera and post camera processing well. The exposure is good as is the contrast and the saturation is natural. Like the focus and your dof usage and your POV gives this image strength as does that very large square format...makes the whole thing strong....like the brass birds. Sharp....all is sharp, taken in ambient light with no harsh shadows. Nice photo, good on you!

Lovely to hear from you again, thanks so much for your indepth review. I gave your suggestion a try but it seemed to encroach on the little birds too much so have kept it as was. Always appreciate your advice. Cheers Mary

Thanks for the excellent artist's notes and particularly for providing the original artist with credit. So often we look at art in our environment and do not think about it as the creator of an artist such as ourselves. The lighting here puts emphasis on the full wings of the bird in the forefront. Really nice my friend. Cyn

I really like your pov and perspective here. The bird in the foreground looks like he is dwarfing the others and about to attack them. Great composition and focus. Wish there was a bit more light at the back. Great shot!

Thanks so much, lighting was a bit difficult as it was so overcast will probably go back another day and try some more :)

Great angle to include the birds down the line. Makes nice composition and the color is good, like the shadow work of the sun and good crispness. BEV
