I love those banana trees! And I like the way the Reds contrast to so nicely with the greens. I am torn, if I find the composition would have been better if it were less centered? I miss our graphic editor a lot! I wish you all the best in the contest, and find this very interesting and appealing. Donkeyoatey

    Did we have a graphic editor? I've been on a toot lately regarding compositional rules and recognize the only rule is that rules can be broken, but having said that, would this image be better with a side composition...will have to re-visit that photo and monkey with it a bit more.....after all I want to get it perfect for the contest...y'know how finicky that committee can be, perfectionists all perfectionists....thank you for the review...appreciate your time.

We do not know how good we have it. However, the setting for their wash day is very beautiful. I don't think I would trade. The sun does not take away from the photo but rather enhances it. Sunlight can be tricky. The focus is clear and crisp. Nicely done.

    Yes, we are lucky to have washing machines! ....but we are losing our connection with our fellow man, me thinks....never mind....thank you for the review.

another interesting look at everyday life in this part of the world,certainly fits the contest,only thing here feel that the ladys are a bit distant,and would i feel made for a more rewarding shot had they been nearer,but other than that,nice shot...brian

    I tried that Brian but what happened was that all that green got eliminated and the focus became the ladies in red, so I left it cropped as is. Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts with me. I value your opinion. Thanks again.

This really captures my attention. Typically, I am not a fan of this type of photography but this one i like. The scenery is beautiful, colors great and love the spot of red in their clothing. Only suggestion would be that the trees are a tiny bit over exposed - some of the sun spots on the leaves pull the attention to them and are a tiny bit distracting. Would like to see the colors a bit richer to add even more depth to the shadows in the darker parts of the forest area and really give some dimension. All just an opinion. Nice job overall.
