A very good shot with a semi slow shutter speed that captured your subject in foucs but show motion in the bg. Nice exposure and well framed. Good work Mary.

Nicely done and like the faded b.g to show off the movement of the prix bike. Have never seen one but would be interesting to watch. The colors vibrant and the capture of the bike is sharp, nice stop action shooting Mary!

Thanks Mary, these bikes are usually made by the school and/or universities involved and come in various shapes and sizes and speed. Does make for interesting event when the prix is on.

Please don't fret about the blur...you got it just right. The foreground with the prix bike is quite in focus but we know it's moving because of that blurred background. You got amazing detail to even the writing on the bike and the driver. That row of taller trees in the background is running parallel to the roadways so you have a lot of horizontal lines working for you. Very nice.

I like it this way. I think it takes a lot of practice to pan like this, but it looks like you did a very good job. I would take them both ways and then see which way you like. Did you use a tripod on this one? Try enhancing the red and green a little.

Nice shot!
I really like this. Panning is fun but can be a very big challenge. You can blur the subject too if you want. I have done this before and enjoyed doing it.

i think you got it right Mary. The background blur shows the vehicle movement and you froze the vehicle action with good focus and stop action camera work. Nice colours. Top shot.
