Nice capture.
I like the contrast and framing.
I ALSO LIKE THE FACT THAT IS NOT PERFECTLY CLEAR, WHICH ADDS TO THE ABSTRACT FEEL OF IT.
Good work.
Jorge.

Thanks Jorge, as always I appreciate your feedback. A couple of reviews have commented negatively about the fact focus is not spot on but sometimes it doesn't really matter as it adds to the pic which I am glad you agree with in this one :) Mary

You are very welcome, sometimes here in FAR all they want is calendar photography, that is what I call it. Sharp, sharp, sharp. I guess I see the artistic side a little more.

Yes you did get a nice one in the situation you described. Nice work on the detail and I sure like the transparent wing. I think I would try to lighten the head and get the eyes to stand out.

There is a couple of things I like about this picture. I like the fact that the bee is in this picture because it give this flower a right touch and the other thing is that you had great timing to be able to get this bee on the flower!
I been trying to take a picture of a bee but my hands was shaking so bad because I am really scared of them lol!
You have great pin sharp focus and great color!
Awesome job!

Thanks so much I appreciate your positive feedback. You might try a tripod to get the shot, my daughter has the same problem. :)

I am going to sooo get that but I am really scared of them! I took a picture of one on a blue flower but the whole time I was crying because I was in fear of getting stung by that bee!

A beautiful picture of this soft cream coloured tulip & it's visiting bee. Skillful composition, framing, lighting camera techniques & sharp focus showing fine details of the wings.

A good macro of this bee. The soft yellow makes a night contrasting background for it. The focus here is on the wings and so the face is just a tad soft. Not bad at all for one shot.

Excellent close up, and although focus is nice and sharp the way you have captured the colors give a warmth to the image that I really like, nicely framed and great overall composition, great job!
