Bodysecca, this is so sad. It really really hurts me to look at this drawing. To see this on my screen plunges me back into the despair I once felt. I just hope you are feeling better.

That is sad that you are feeling this inside, even if you don't show it. Hope one day you will be able to paint happy eyes that you feel inside. Best wishes.

Thanks for the review. I do a little bit of everything really, just that charcoal and sketching are some of my best works. Thanks again.

i like the peach coloring! but her eyes don't look sad and she is almost smiling! she has a very large cheek. i would say to add a chin line to the ear and the whole picture wil look much better...but good job-I COULD NEVER DO THAT!

Thank you for the suggestion...And thank you for the compliment! :-D That means a lot.

Bobysecca, I truly hope you don't experience the feeling the painting portrays all the time or even often, or ever. I think the work is very strong and conveys a sense of quiet desperation, or depression, or both. Not only the eye, the tears (which are powerful) but the closed, somewhat tight mouth, tell me this woman has and is suffering deeply.
Peace,
Papa

Thanks for the positive comments on my work. And as a side note, everyone feels somewhat like that at some point in life. Some just feel it stronger or more often than others..I happen to be that one...and I show it through my art.
