sounds like somewhere i'd like to visit. Looks like Mr Pelican is enjoying the view too. Well framed. Focus is pin sharp and shows good detail and gorgeous feather texture. Nice contrasting background with good dof to soften it. Techs look great. Top shot.

This is a wonderful picture of the pelican.
The point of view is excellent showing all his attributes.
What an incredible pink beak!
Your exposure is good except for a a bit of brightness on his lower neck, shoulder and top of his head.
Focus and depth of field are very good showing all of him with clarity.
good placement in the well-chosen vertical frame, and a nice amount of space given around him.
nice color and blur from the backround.
great subject and nice job.

Very good work to get nice detail in the white of the Pelicans. I find it is very hard to get the feathers outline in these white bgirds. Great settings and very nicely presented. Thankyou so much, I have just made a copy of your link and will have a look on my return next week - off to Traralgon in Victoria for work....so much for retirement, 3 weeks work offered and I have been home 2 out of last 6 weeks :)

Mary, fantastic focus on this guy with the little hair like feathers coming off the top of the head. Matter of fact I just changed the stars to six. It is a great photo with terrific elements throughout. Not only is the focus spot on with the entire shot, the illumination from the sun is great.
