Not sure how digital art is created being a traditional artist, but I do find this pleasing and stopped to look! The use of complementary colors creates a wonderful tension anbd movement in this work. Pleasing composition and good story in artist's notes. Jean

Thank you Jean, I appreciate your review very much.
There are different kinds of digital art; but in my case it is created almost similar to traditional art. I chose the kind of paper or canvas [texture] I want to paint on. I chose the kind of colors [oil, watercolors, chalk etc. I[digitally] mix the colors. The tools are as symbols on my screen. I chose the kind and size of the brushes, knife etc, than I move them with my fingers via the mouse pad on my laptop. I have to work in sequences since the screen is to small to work the whole picture. Its a bit like transferring a scratch to a mural on a wall. It needs some experience at traditional art and some exercise at digital to paint this way, but it has the advantage of no paint splatter and the materials are available were ever I am. Hope this helps you to understand digital 2D painting better.

This is so pretty. Flowers are really really hard to capture and you have done it beautifully. Love the soft brush strokes created here and the angle you have chosen. You really do feel like a little bumble bee buzzing around. Its the ay you have painted the flowers and foliage that I admire the most in this. Very very clever

iv'e heard of method acting but not method painting. a great angle and yes it's a 'bird's eye view' from a bee (on it's travels). really wonderful, the texture, colour, notion and last but not least, the composition.

I never thought of that; but you are right. I approach my paintings often as I would approach a part in a play.

My kind of picture. Just so pretty with flowers looking upwards at the sun. Looks like Pot Marigolds mixed in with a few other varieties. I like the perspective and the composition, as well as the framing. Colours are vibrant and there is lots of detail too. Good Luck in the contest.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful and kind review.
Those are not Marigolds which won't grow in our salty air. The little yellow flowers are Creeping Daisies; are ground covering vine. :-)

Great work here. I like the sky and the blues you used and the purple parts are a bonus. And the flowers are done very well from this angle the seem to sing and dance. Keep up this fantastic work. :-)

Isn't this lovely! The colors are so gently and harmonious. One can fell the sea breeze swaying the flowers. It is the sort of picture one wants to live with. Very nice job.

First up...lovely colours. That fluid blue sky, dotted with clouds. This is a great colour to create sense of serenity. The green foliage as a foil for the persimmon coloured flowers, and all of them pointed away from me, great entry and good luck. Cyn
