This seemed more of a quick sketch where you did manage to pick up some nice elements of texture and value but the contour is off which makes it a rough drawing. I do think you did a nice job catching the kitten's expression and show some promise. Good luck and keep sketching.

this sketch isnt bad if it was worked on for longer and not so cartoonish i think i would like it more. it seems like you tried to be serious with some of it then it seems carttonish in ways. some darker lines would make it stand out more.
