One off my all time favorites you must have waited a long time to get this shot. The focus is superb and the little sort of window behind the finch is great you must be very proud.

Thank you so very much for a good review and high score! It takes a lot of patience to shoot birds.

A perfect photo of outstanding beauty. I love how you have the tree included. The colors of red and green, just opposite on the color wheel are pleasing our senses as the cheerful scene. The excellent captured bird is perfectly placed into the frame. The bokeh is excellent. The crisp branches and needles surrounding the softer spot of green in the background are perfect. The emphasize that spot of green; which emphasizes the bird. Of course the bird is also emphasizes by the branches. A double jammy for our unconscious mind is coming with this scenery of perfect harmony.

Great shot again Willie. I love the red against all the green as well as the blurred background. Wonderful detail in the finch. I wonder why they call him a house finch. He lives outside, right? Thanks so much for sharing. Blessings, Keri

Hi Wille,

Nothing's better than when your subject appears right in front of you! Love the look this fincg is giving you. The lighting on those red feathers is very nice as well as the DOF. Love your framing with the bird ti the right. The blurred background allows you to focus on the main subject. Very Nice and interesting shot!

Good Luck in the Contest!

The viewer is tricked at this stunning portrait into thinking it is a close up of a porcelain vase. A pleasant and comforting piece.

Nice detail in the feathers and tack sharp eye. The green of the tree and surrounding area are a nice contrast to the red on the bird. Lovely soft and even lighting and your composition works beautifully.
