Not familiar with the myth, but the artist notes are quite clearly presented. This work has good movement and is very fluid. It appears to be a painting without fine detail but with great tonal range. I find the movement and the composition interesting and inviting! Jean

Thank you very much for your throughout review. The lack of detail is intentional. It has the same purpose as the earth tones of the painting. It symbolizing the decay of the forest, the rotting wood I strong contradiction to the previous picture.

Hamadryad, the final chapter. WONDERFUL NOTES!! I'm favoriting this, for sure. I learned about Gree mythology and you made it painless (quite a feat!) Your subject is so mystical. Your tones so very appropriate to your subject and supports it nicely. Very very very good storytelling that sets up the photograph. Great depiction of your wonderful story. Wish I had a 6.

Thank you very much for your review and the thought of a six. I tried to paint the opposite to the previous picture. That is mainly why I have it in those earth colors.

This one had better make it into the monthly contest...and win! What a great idea to have it be monochromatic, and to have such a billowing ager raging at the top, and moving toward the viewer, I alsmost want to duck! This is magical, mystical, and a bit scary..LOVE IT!! Donkeyoatey

Thank you! Your word near Gods ear. Would be nice if you would be right. I had the idea of monochromatic long time ago when I was working on the first picture. I try to catch the situation with the colors as well a the scenery. That is why the previous picture was mostly green. Yes is scary. This was in my intention. I want that it wakens people. This is a very personal piece, because it is happen just now, down here in the area which was set aside by the government to be a nature sanctuary, But it got sold out to private over the last years. The turtles, birds and leopards do not have not money like the Cartel.

I did not see the woman at first. Now that I see her, I can't believe I missed her. I think this would have been fantastic in color. Good work!

Thank you very much for your review! The piece is in earth colors in contradiction to the previous picture and because of the theme. [The forest and the Hamadryad are dying]. the previous picture has color. The Hamadryad and the tree are young and full life in a spring green forest.

Great piece of work. Cant say that I understand how you produced it but the end result, the image, is quite beautiful as is the prose that accompanies it. Don

I find this so subtly and exquisitely executed. The notes were fascinating and very poignant in view of the state of our forests and wild life that has succumbed to the greed of man.
Beautifully presented Cleo.

wow, I really like your story telling, it really gives this more life to it! I really like the shades of color you have done, the dark with the light, I had to look pretty good to see her, she looks really cool how you have done her in the trees trunk. so very magicle

Thank you, I appreciate your review very much. I tried to show the change to a dying forest with those earth tones. This is in strong relation ship to the previous posted Hamadryad painting, where the Hamadryad and the tree are alive and the forest is in juvenile spring-green.
