Thank you!! About the most complicated Digital painting I have done so far, due to the detail on the horse. I don't know how many small brush strokes are in there, but I worked of and on for weeks. More than I would need on canvas, I think. About 60 hours [including erasing and starting over. Nice feature to be able to erase oil colors.]

This has a free fluid look to it which suits the horse as it is free in the wild. The pastel shades of colour are very well composed as well. The head is particulary good.

Cleo...this Is absolutely stunning!
I love everything about this:
The composition(nice thirds rule here)
The palette...the colors of life
The skill....wonderfully detailed(you can see the individual hair on the coat)
A brilliant piece of artwork, Cleo!

Thank you very much for your review and the star burst! I hoped you would like it. Thanks for realizing the colors of life and the single hears. I think it was about the most complicated I have done digitally so far. I am not sure how many small brushstrokes are in the coat of the horse. It must be some thousand. I worked on and of for weeks, I think about 60 hours[including erasing and starting over in places. I wanted to bring him to life.

Just a magnificent work of art, and such a beautiful wild horse. Your style and technique are excellent, and the lighting is exquisite. The detail is wonderful, and the softness is just awesome. I just love this, and it is visually very appealing. Truly a pleasure to view! Impressive image!

Thank you Patty, such a great surprise. A star burst exact at midnight! [at least it is midnight right now here]. I am very happy you like the picture. It was about the most complicated what I did so far, due to the detail on the horse. I don't know exact how many thousand brush strokes are in there, but I worked of and on for weeks, about 60 hours [including erasing and starting over].

Beautiful job! I have not had to opportunity to see horses in the wild but can only imagine they are beautiful as your picture depicts. Wonderful colors and the background only serves to enhance your horse. Again, great job with great colors. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Keri

I am just loving this picture you have created here! The detail of the horse is just simply remarkable as well as the background that you decided to put this fellow in. I really like how realistic this looks whilst it still has a painterly feel to it.Great work,

Wow oh WOW! So many stars. Thank you! :-)
It was about the most complicated I did so far. To get those details on the horse, I worked about 60 hours [including erasing] with thousands of the smallest brush strokes.

Cleo, this is really grand! The proportions, conformation and coat of the horse are spot-on, the eyes look completely photo-realistic and the coloration is just splendid. Even the little tuffs of hair on elbows and under his belly are accurate. Wbat a beautiful tribute to the wild mustangs- great job on this!

Thank you!!! I really appreciate your review as an insider at both, horses and digital painting. Of curse you made my day with those stars! I am happy I did it right. It was one of the most complicated digital paintings, I did so far. I worked weeks of and on it. About 60 hours I think.
