Excellent capture Willie and should have known this was your image. The clarity itself if superb with the b.g. colors taking the image to a new level. Nice pose as the mocking bird seems to be looking over his shoulder at you. Gorgeous natural colors and excellent d.o.f. A stunner!

So this is what a Mockingbird looks like! Very pretty bird with apricot toned feathers on his body. Focus is spot on and I like your framing too. The textures in the old plant material are interesting and the colours tone in very well with those in the background which is pleasantly blurred. Good Luck in the contest.

Even Audubon would love this photo. I think it is a prize winner. The use of a narrow depth of field brings out the mocker perfectly. Furthermore, mocking birds are among my most favorite natural creatures. Hence, seeing this photo, done so well,is a real treat.
