Valentines Greeting

it sort of reminds me of stitched letters on a patch. another really well composed message and in theses simple words of expression, it translates love and emotion. the colours of choice really comes across, especially the yellow plume.

Thank you, I thought the make unusual greeting carts. This as "All you need..." were originally made as posters. I used them as decoration for a community 60's party. I decided better to make some new posters up myself than maybe fighting copyrights.

Very nice idea to just bring out what Valentine is all about - LOVE - so the word in red is very nicely composed in soft curves and lines with a great font - the diagonal word fills out the frame as love is the principal subject - the yellow flower ids the gift that is always well appreciated as love expression looking like flame and fire, so it could also be called the fire of love - vey nice dark background to enlighten love and fire, well done

Thank you very much! You read the message right [again!]. I indeed intended to make the petal looking halfway between flower and flame. :-)

Thank you very much. Happy to have tickled you. I think you are right, it's different. I have just trouble to be 'normal' [he,he]. Actually the usually pink cherubim's on red hearts, surrounded by roses in all shads between them go a bit on my nerves.

ah if your not into "normal" that explains whu we get along so well lol :-)

Cleo, this is adorable, charming and amusing. Love the letters but it's the petal tossed like a fan on hot coals that makes it really unique, creative and very amusing.

Thank you very much! I am happy you like my tossed petal. I actually tried to make it into something between petal and flame.

It is different, and it has a bit of a retro 1960s feel. I a specially like the color combination you have used, I find it eye popping and it jumps right off the screen. I like the way it looks like a good homemade card, and the way it has a graffiti look. DonkeyOatey

You are right as usual, and probably more close to the truth than you realize. Well be born in 49. I am definitely a kid of the 60, but of a very different flower power attitude, there on the other side of the iron curtain. The arts and the music of the time sticks anyway. There is even more. That picture was actually made, to be used as decoration for a 60's party at our community last year. I realized that it would be a good idea for Valentine as well. I invented some new posters than to try to copy something original and my fight copyrights. There are two other posters in this series: Peace and Aquarius; but they do not make much sense other than for the original occasion. ~Cleo
