Looks like a rock star to me, I like the color vs black white background. Not sure what the shading is shining down on him - maybe a spot light?

A lesson in excellent shadow and light work, with colors used sparingly, yet effectively to bring out the theme of this well composed work. The shine on the guitarist's leather pants and the realistic looking halo effect of back lit spots on the audience speaks of a talented artist who knows his way around creating excellent/effective art. Plenty of movement barely contained within the sound framing of the piece. Very skilled work!

Oh this is a great entry for the contest! I love the selective use of colour and it amazes me how you get so much texture into the work - those leather trousers are spot on!
