Nice sharpness and contrast of colors. Love the reddish tones and the reflection on the water.. It breaks the colors and gives it more depth.

I love the shot and at first I thought it was a piece of artwork but then I saw that it is nature photography. Great job on the contrasts, textures, reflections and heron as well.

Thank you so very much! I am using an Olympus E3 camera ISO 400 with a 70-300mm lens. 60/sec f5.6. I was in my car sitting on a boat ramp. He flew in and walked out on this log I guess about 30 feet away.

This is interesting. What I like about it is the birds head position. It gives me the feeling of puzzlement as though he is wondering what all the colours are. The reflection is very good.
