I think the muted orange and yellow reflection in the water are beautiful. I am envisioning maple trees in the Fall and such a nice canvas for the beautiful heron and the clear reflection of the bird and the wood in the water.

It is for sure great reflections in this shot, and therefore a very good entry for the contest. Not only is the bird and the log nicely reflected, but also the colors of autumn are nicely reflected in the shiny water.

The bird is nice and sharp and all details clear and well defined. The exposure is good in this shot, and the light is falling on the bird in a lovely way. It is fantastic colors in this image.

The bird is well placed within the frame and the cropping is perfect. This of course means that this photo has a good composition. Well taken photo with an excellent DOFF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
