Great job. This is amazing. I love the depth of the layers. I can't help but think "rock, paper, scissors" game. I wish I had time to learn how to do this. Amazing.

Wow, what a creative and impressive image. Certainly an excellent contest entry. The story of the scissors is really neat. Amazing that you still have them and along with the special memory. Certainly a pleasure always to view your fine work!

You have produced yet another thoroughly well considered and skilfully executed contest entry Annie, thank you.

Nothing lets your composition down whatsoever and it all looks to be technically very good to me too. I don't understand why it didn't get a greater share of the votes in what was a well deserved two picture race with Mr Oatey. I'm completely flabbergasted that a quarter of the votes went to the other five entrants, yours were on a completely different level.

An admirable second place and I can think of no reason not to give you a perfect six star rating but I'm only going to give you five and a half stars as there is no such thing as perfection. ;o)

We live in a bizarre and unjust world here on FAR don't we.

Thank you very much for the lovely review Badger. I agree it is not always easy to understand the voting, together with a lot of other things going on here on FAR. I was not surprised to see Donkey winning this contest though. If mine or his was the best, is very much a matter of taste I think. I also agree that it is no such thing as a perfect image, but I really appreciate the high rating.

Hi Annie,

Love your entry for the contest Mr Friend. The title says it all! We get to see what happens to the scissors when it makes a HUGE mistake and cuts into a rock. Your idea was very original and as always very well executed. I actually voted for you on Sunday after seeing all the entries. I loved the whole concept of this.

Super Job! I know Donkeyoatey's ahead, but I can still wish you luck in the contest. Both of you are favs of mine! :o) Helvi

Thank you very much for the lovely review Helvi, and of course also for the generous rating. I know Donkey is going to win, but I am really pleased you like my entry, and that you even voted for it.

I like the way you have given this a three dimensional look, it just pops out of the picture! nice colors, as always, but this time, the light going from darker at the top, to brighter at the bottom adds a realistic look andf feel. Donkeyoatey

A lovely mixed media image here. Great combination of images. Nice touch with the starburst off the scissors. Great piece.

An unusual composition, but very interesting and great as entry for the contest. The merge of photos and layers is outstanding. You archived a unusual dept. A kind of three dimensional appearance, It is especially interesting how the hand seems to reach out from the inner picture frame.

This is a very clever idea which you have put together magnificently. The fact you used your grandmother's scissors also gives it a very special personal touch.
